sticklab, formerly Lane Williams Architects, is a small architecture practice grounded in the belief that thoughtful, modern design should enrich everyday life.

Our mission is to create architecture that is personal, inventive, grounded, and generous. We strive to create spaces that elevate daily life and can contribute meaningfully to a community. Working primarily in the Pacific Northwest, we create custom residential architecture, new construction and renovations, that is closely tailored to its clients and deeply connected to the landscape. Our work emphasizes comfort, durability, and sustainability, all qualities we see as inseparable from beauty and long-term impact.

Our ideal project is one where architecture and art are developed in dialogue; where the home becomes not only a place to live but a collaborative expression shared with the client. While we pursue ambitious ideas, we balance them with the pragmatism necessary to deliver work that is accessible and responsible. It is our desire to make custom design available to a wider range of clients, responding to the social and economic challenges of contemporary housing while reducing environmental impact through durable materials, energy-conscious planning, and thoughtful site engagement.

Our firm has designed over 250 new homes and major remodels from Seattle to Oregon, California, and as far as Connecticut. Our strong connection to mid-century design and the Pacific Northwest have included major renovations and restorations of homes by renowned Northwest architects Al Bumgardner, Paul Hayden Kirk, Ibsen Nelson, and Roland Terry.

The firm has recieved several awards for home design, including three AIA/Seattle Times Home of the Year awards and our works have been featured in countless national and regional publications.
